• Question: how hard was it to get such a high powerd job?

      Hello Livelong2strokes,

      Thanks for the question.

      The thing about jobs is that you don’t just get a ‘high-powered’ job – you have to start at the bottom and work your way to the top.

      I started my engineering career back in 1994 as an apprentice in a large company that made steel structures and other parts to be used in Power Stations all across the UK – this was my training in the engineering industry. After this, I went on to join the RAF as an aircraft engineer for 12 years and then I was good enough at my job to become the team leader on the C17 aircraft that i work on now.

      The answer is basically that hard work and studying will get you to the top but unfortunately it won’t happen overnight!!
