I helped with the design of the new terminal 2 at Heathrow Airport, so I can say that the apron/runways are well designed and none have crashed due to problems/defects with the apron!

      Hi Shawn,

Unfortunately planes crash every once in a while. There are many reasons for them crashing, sometimes it can be the weather such as fog, snow or heavy wind and rain – other times it is pilot-error. Planes are built these days with safety in mind. The seats are specially designed to protect you should the aircraft get bumped so you are perfectly safe when flying!!
