      Hello Shadow

Yes – Engineering can be great fun but it can also be very time-consuming and frustrating at times as well. When engineers look for answers to problems, the answers are not always obvious so it can take a while to get to the bottom of a mysterious problem – these can be the most satisfying times as well.

Engineering is as fun as you make it – as long as you enjoy what you do, I don’t think there is anything better in a job!

I think it’s fun because it’s what I want to do and I’m interested in it. If you’re thinking about going into engineering then you have to think about what really interests you and try aim for that. “Engineering” is huge so you can pretty much do anything.

I find it fun. I have always loved puzzles and problem solving and I get lots of enjoyment from solving a problem someone has with an elegant and cost effective design that no one else has thought of!.

Yes, as long as you don’t get clogged down with the administrative side of things. The creativity involved in engineering can be really fun its always nice to see your ideas go forward. It is interesting when something unexpected happens and you need to think of a solution quickly! I sometimes think engineers are like big kids who want to make the best toys possible to play with!

I like Omar’s description, engineers are big kids with big toys! It’s pretty true, there are lots of great things to do as an engineer!
