      I’m actually doing a placement in the product planning department which is where we decide which cars to develop in the future and which technologies to put in our cars.

      We have to work with Marketing to see what customers in different areas in the world are asking for and also with Engineering to find out if it is possible to meet their needs. So for this work I have to be able to understand the engineering and technology but also the business and marketing side of things so that we can find the best strategy for the company.

      It involves lots of meetings and presentations (usually to very important people) so my communication skills need to be very good. I’m really enjoying it so far as I get to know a lot of top secret information about the new and exciting technologies we might have in our cars in the future!
