      Hello Branflakes123,

As an aircraft engineer, I am not a creator as such. The job of creating is a joint effort between a Design Engineer and a Manufacturer. My job is to understand how their creations work and then be able to fix them when they go wrong.

Hope this explains it for you.

As a Software Engineer I don’t create things you can actually touch but I do create computer programs. These just lots of little things within a big system. They work together with all the other little programs running to try do the job they’re supposed to.

I haven’t been at the company long but since I started I’ve developed an LED system for a plug-in car which tells you how much charge there is in the battery while you are charging (similar to the bar you see at the top of your mobile phone screen).

I don’t create anything in this job, however I used to work in a brewery – we created beer! I designed new packaging and created some more efficient ways of reporting how we measured the quality of the beer (and before you ask, not drinking it!)…. things like measuring the CO2 and Alcohol content, testing the colour.
