I didn’t get A-levels because I went to secondary school in Scotland so it’s a bit difficult to compare but I got Highers (similar to AS-Levels) in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computing and Advanced Highers (similar to A-Levels) in Maths and Physics.

      Hello missalice,

I didn’t do A-Levels – I enrolled in a Modern Apprenticeship straight out of school. They apprenticeship was a great choice for me as im a hands-on engineer.

I didn’t do A levels (I went to school in NZ) however the closest thing I have to the equivalent…… I took Maths, Chemistry, Physics, English, Geography.

The key to picking subjects at school is not to get too narrow – engineers, scientists and other technical people need to have good English and social skills to be successful too.
