It would be great for me as I have never really won anything before, and also because it means I have been some kind of inspiration to you guys which was my main reason for taking part. Hopefully with the money I will be able to inspire people who haven’t had the opportunity to ask me questions. I want to spread my enthusiasm for engineering because it is engineering which will help solve some of the worlds toughest challenges in history and produce some fantastic (and fun!) technologies along the way.

My plan (if I won) is to use the money to buy some science resources (things for teaching electricity and maybe even some robotics kits) for a local village primary school which I am hoping to work with over the next year – they are really short of resources and being a small school they don’t get a lot of funding.

Either way, I am hoping to work with them regardless. Although some cash would help, there are plenty of other fun things we can do ….. all with the aim of inspiring some budding young engineers of the future!

      Hello chazaboy19 and branflakes123,

Of course i’d be very happy if i won – I would hope to put on a project to show you why aircraft fly and do the things they do as well as giving you the chance to be a pilot for a while in our very own simulator. This would give you the chance to learn about a subject that has inspired me throughout my career as well as having some fun too!!
