  Well from what I’ve read about autograss it would depend on the circuit you are racing. If your 3rd gear is too tall then you may not have enough power when you need it, so it might be better to keep your gear ratios closer together. But if there are lots of long straights then it might be better to have a taller gear so you can reach higher top speeds.
